A Christmas Wedding

Last week James and Michelle were married.

Their Christmas wedding was absolutely beautiful!

I was in complete awe of their wedding cake and found myself snapping more pictures of it than anything else... :)

I also found myself being drawn to the candy table multiple times!

An exchange of services

Meet Eebee.

She is a student at my church's local college and comes from the country of Mongolia,

missionaries sent out from my church are ministering there.

Eebee is in my prayer group and recently commented that she had never gotten her pictures professionally taken and that she would like to as it is her senior year so as to show family and friends back home.

I, in no means consider myself a professional, but upon hearing her say this I thought it would be fun to take her portraits for her.

Eebee is a phenomenal seamstress and so we came to an agreement that I would take her pictures in exchange for her sewing something for me.

I had  a great time taking this sweet young woman's pictures and I am excited about choosing something for her to sew for me as well!

A Fall Brunch

One of the many qualities I would like to possess from my mother is her ability to hostess and entertain...

This morning she put on a fall brunch and I was delighted to share a part in it.

  

The fine china, glass goblets, and gold chargers were pulled out...

  

and the table looked like something from out of a magazine!

(or as one of her friends commented, "Straight from Pinterest!") :)

Everything was perfect down to the amazing food served

This quiche was incredible!

And my Aunt's recipe for French Toast Bake was out of this world!

And don't let these innocent faces fool you;

they were one wild bunch!  :)

So happy to have shared a part in such a fun affair!

Indiana Dunes

Summer is not complete without going to the dunes with my friends.

We are located about 2 miles from Lake Michigan and every year, at least one Sunday night after

church I like to make it over to the Lake to watch the sun go down...

This year we grabbed Chinese, in years past it has been McDonald's, subway, or Little Caesar's.

We did however, come across a problem once we picked a section of dunes to sit and enjoy our food...

We had forgotten silverware!

Note to self::eating Chinese without any form of silverware makes for difficult, messy, but

quite hilarious eating!

We had a great time despite our ditziness;

and came away with several great pictures to commemorate the end of summer with!
