New chapter

So I have not blogged in SEVEN entire months...
I think that makes me the worst blogger in the entire history of ever. :)

But in my defense, things have been changing in my life.
In those 7 months:
I was engaged
My sister got a teaching position in another state
My mom was diagnosed with cancer
I was married
I moved to another city 1 1/2 hours away from my hometown of 25 years
My mom underwent radiation and is cancer-free
The Lord is good

This new chapter not only means a new name and a new home,
but it also meant that my husband and I would combine
our photography businesses into one.
We are still working on ironing out details,
but we would love it if you would come follow us at our
photography blog or if you wish to know us on a more
personal level please come visit us at our family blog.

“Oh, it's delightful to have ambitions. I'm so glad I have such a lot. And there never seems to be any end to them-- that's the best of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition you see another one glittering higher up still. It does make life so interesting.”
(LM Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables)

Charity

{I Corinthians 13:8}

The power of love is incomprehensible;
but it's effects are undeniable.

So grateful for the love of my heavenly Father
and those I hold most dear in my life.

hope

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted in me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him
for the help of his countenance.

Self Portrait

Week #4 and surprisingly I am still in it!
And even though I really did not want to post a self portrait,
I am breaking out of my comfort zone to do so!

Happy shooting!

I Dreamed a Dream

project 52 p52 weekly photo challenge my3boybarians.com

Everybody dreams.
Everybody has hopes for the future.
When I saw the theme for this week I immediately knew what I wanted to take a picture of...

It's a table? you may ask.
But it is not just any table.  At this table have been multiple family meals, countless discussions, tears cried and joys shared.
At this table we have scrapbooked.
At this table we have made Christmas candy.
At this table mom has helped each of us make posters and teaching visuals for college classes.
At this table we have prayed together.
At this table we have held many dinner parties and served countless friends.
At this table we have done crafts and science fair projects.
At this table we have played games.
At this table a family has grown together.

I have dreamed a dream that someday I too will have a table like this one.
I have dreamed a dream that someday we will all gather back round this same table with our extended families and reminisce on all the memories made.
I dream a dream...

Made w/love:

It was simple gesture, but nonetheless one of love.

Friday nights are often homemade pizza night at home.
My mom makes the most amazing and delicious pizza,
and usually we just stick with your basic toppings.
Last night I mentioned how I love supreme pizza.

I came home from work tonight with a headache
 and quite starved.
When I walked in the door,
I was greeted with an amazing aroma...
Mom's homemade pizza.
And, a supreme one made just for me.

Truly it is the simple things that make my day!
